A few weeks ago, I shared how we cleaned our old, dingy cedar shingles. After a good scrubbing, they were in much better shape than I anticipated so we decided to seal them to keep them in good shape for years to come.
We chose a lovely red stain to accentuate the natural red cedar hue.
During my parent’s visit, not only did they scrub ivy, paint like mad people, and occasionally take the dog on a walk…but they also had time (and the willpower) to help improve the front of the house.
I left you all hanging a few months ago when I started talking about paint color testing. In truth it’s been a killer summer. I traveled for work, went on vacation, and then went home for a long weekend and all of a sudden I’m trying to catch up on life.
After the hurricane of work that was the week my parents came to visit, I vowed I wouldn’t pick up a paint brush again for a while. However, after working multiple 14-hour days back to back, it’s hard to just stop doing anything.
