The Freer Gallery is my favorite Smithsonian museums to visit. It has an ever changing display of artwork, including my favorite installation: the Xu Bing Monkeys Grasp for the Moon display.
On a deceptively sunny day (it was freezing!) a few weekends back we bundled up and headed over for a lazy Sunday stroll.
This past Sunday I made the best of a rainy day by spending it at The Lemon Bowl playing around with food styling and photography.
The theme was Valentine’s Day and we spent the better part of an afternoon photographing cakes, strawberry lemonade, and candies. Talk about a sugar rush!
Here are a few of my favorite shots.
I’m not a big believer in Hallmark holidays and Valentine’s Day has never been high on my list of celebratory events. However, I’ll never pass up an excuse for a good meal! So, instead of getting dinner tomorrow – after a 9 hour work day (no thank you!) – we decided to grab brunch on Saturday at The Fainting Goat.
I must say, I love getting early brunch in D.C. before restaurants fill up with loud people and busy waiters.
The waiters still were going over the meals of the day at the bar.
And that wallpaper!? <3
We picked up a couple drinks…
And some food, and called it a day.
